What is a Trial Day?

A trial day is your first step towards becoming a skilled paraglider. It is an opportunity for you to make your initial attempts at launching and flying a glider on a training hill, all under professional instruction and supervision. This immersive experience will provide you with a taste of the exhilarating world of paragliding while ensuring your safety throughout the process.

 

Launching and Flying a Glider

During your trial day, you will learn the basic techniques needed to launch and fly a glider. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you will discover the proper way to handle and control the paragliding equipment. From learning how to correctly set up your glider to understanding the subtle shifts in your body posture and weight distribution that affect your flight, you will gain valuable insights into the mechanics of this thrilling sport.

Understanding Paragliding Equipment

An integral part of your trial day will involve familiarizing yourself with the various components of paragliding equipment. You will learn about the canopy, harness, reserve parachute, and other essential gear. Understanding how each piece works and how to effectively use them will instill confidence in your abilities and contribute to a safe and enjoyable flight experience.

The Training Process

In addition to learning the practical aspects of paragliding, your trial day will also introduce you to the training process that lies ahead. No Previous Knowledge Required

One of the best aspects of a trial day is that no previous paragliding knowledge is required. All you need is a sense of adventure and the willingness to run towards the edge of possibilities.

Included:

- Supervision of a professional instructor

- Complete paragliding equipment

- Transfer to the training hill and back

Not included:

- Sturdy ankle-high shoes (recommended)

- Solar protection

- Food (lots of liquids)

- Possibly spare clothes
